Au Pair Assist has been established to assist families as a mentor on their journey of hosting Au Pairs right from the start of the search until the au pair leaves. We are specialising in helping host families to find the most suitable Au Pair for their specific family needs.
We will guide, help and support every step of the way to make it a valuable experience to provide a nurturing environment for the children and make your life as a family much easier. We will provide you with a wealth of information about the planning process, how to search for your Au Pair, which questions to ask to find the right match and continue on with support while hosting. You will know what you can expect from an Au Pair and what an Au Pair will expect from you, we help navigate times of jet lag and culture shock and have always time for you to answer your questions.
You can decide how much of the search process you like to do yourself and how much assistance you need. Our service starts from as low as $1 per week but of course we also offer a premium service. You decide yourself, how much time and money you can or want to invest ... we will be at your side all along. We have extended our service via Facebook-groups where you can advertise your au pair position for free and as a member of Au Pair Assist we will connect you with suitable Au Pairs.
You simply refer the Au Pairs to us and we make sure the Au Pair knows what is expected and comes well prepared for this great adventure. We provide a free service for Au Pairs, a starter pack, where they will find everything they need for a smooth start in Australia.They will receive our support from visa application, health and liability insurance, flight offers through to information about jet lag and culture shock up to checklists and questionnaires which helps them to settle in with ease into their new life. You can request a complete reference check which includes a comprehensive police check with a WWC (working with children check).
We offer two websites for Au Pairs, one for German Au Pairs and also a website in English for all other Au Pairs who are eligible to come to Australia.
We will continue our support during the time the Au Pair stays with you, as there are always some questions along the way. Just refer your Au Pairs to Au Pair Assist.
As a family you will like our offer for an Au Pair-Online course, which will prepare the young ladies and boys well for their new tasks as it is in English, Australia specific and gives the Au Pair a range of childcare and house duty vocabulary at hand, which will make communication much easier. Members will receive a special discount on this course, which is open to Au Pairs from all countries.
If you are prepared to give an Au Pair with more basic English a chance, also here we can help out with an English online course, which covers quite a bit of childcare related topics. This course is open to Au Pairs from all countries too and if your are unsure about the English of an Au Pair you like, we do offer English assessment.
As a fact, German speaking girls (and German Granny-Au Pairs) are the majority in Australia. We are the best contact in Australia if you are hosting a German Au Pair and you or the Au Pair need support. Not only do we speak fluent German, we also understand the different cultures very well and know where things get misunderstood.
However, if you follow the planning process and interview guidelines, you won't need much help.

With our reference service we provide forms for the Au Pairs for

We are the only service in Australia who actually provides the overseas WWC which starts from the age of 14 of the prospective Au Pair from the EU. We will make sure the Au Pair has all references and checks.
Membership is open to all Australian Families. You have the option of premium membership with personalised one-on-one help or our Forum Membership, which works on a DIY basis where you are just happy to draw from our extensive library and discuss your queries in our exclusive family forum.
